Day Numéro Seven - Disneyland

Yohohoho!

Day one at Disneyland = done.

Wow.
We were there for about seven hours and got to go on about five rides!

Our day started off kinda late, we weren't breakfasting until around 11.30.
This was at Mimi's Cafe, just across the road. It was pretty cool, there were lots of french paintings on the walls and everything on the menu started with "le" and "les".

Kate and Mum both got waffles topped with strawberries:

Jack got pancakes which he thoroughly enjoyed (a good sign - he's a bit picky when it comes to good pancakes) and a scrumptious hot chocolate, Dad got toast and spreads and I got a really good omelette marseille with goat's cheese and toast:

Straight to Disneyland from there!

Disneyland is literally right across the road from our hotel.
Welcome to Disneyland! :

It was so hot, we got tired very easily.
It was also suuuper crowded, and people kept saying that we came on a nice quiet day.
WTH!

Entering Disneyland:

Cute Mama Papa selfie:

While Kate, Jack and I started off our activities at Pinocchio's Daring Journey (this proved to be very daring, espesh for Kate as there was a massive whale which leapt out at us!), Mum and Dad went on the scariest ride of their lives: the Snow White's Scary Adventure.

I found Olaf being a happy snowman on top of a house:

There were so many stores everywhere!
All crazily expensive, of course. But still magical.
Like these cute Minnie ears:

And Jack's Micky hat:

As a fam, we took a cruise around the waters of Storybook Land.
We visited the villages of Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, Aladdin, Ariel, Sleeping Beauty and Pinocchio:

And we went through the mouth go the whale that ate Pinocchio:

Much time was spent waiting for the Matterhorn Bobsled.
But it was quite thrilling, so defs worth it.
Waiting to go up le mountain:

We hung out with the sassy Evil Queen:

Kate and Jack found Iron Man's suits:

Then we all went on the Star Tour which was a really cool virtual ride experience thing.
Our space ship was driven by the man himself, C3P0:

After lunching, us kids waited in line for Space Mountain (for 45 minutes!!) but OMG. So. Worth it.
It was crazy.
You were like, shot through the stars and there were massive drops and it honestly felt like we were going 10000kph.

Jack pulling his smize in a Woody hat:

And Mum modelling Kate's chewbacca hat back at the hotel:

Just as we were leaving, we got to catch the start of the parade:

Everything is all in the one spot here, so we popped in to IHOP for dinner. A bit average, we all must admit. And a wee bit on the expenny side too.
Got a pic of the sign anyway:

Our waitress was pretty funny though, she stood there for a bit, just telling us about how she has different allergies in different parts of America that she's lived in. And she kept going woooooo! Yeah.

Back at the hotel, Jack and Dad went for another swim and then we all relaxed in bed and watched Friends and That 70's Show.

Review of Disneyland:
While it is very magical and full of wonder and fun, the whole experience does seem like it's a forced kind of fun.
Like, everyone's like, we're at Disneyland so we have to be having fun.
Probably just downing the feel here, but I think there were just too many people to have the ultimate experience, ja feel?

Still fun though.

And while I'm being negative Nancy, I feel I need to mention the thing I don't like about our hotel: the toilet.
It's seriously like there's a jet powered engine sucking its contents out when you flush it. Gives me a fright every time.

That's all I think! Gonna rest my head now.
Maybe I'll dream about marrying Mickey Mouse and becoming queen of Disneyland.
Actually, I think I'd much rather be Maleficent. She was so fabulous.

Ciaaaoo!!
