Last Day at Disney (Day Nine)

Hellooooo!

Boy oh boy.
We've been out at the wonderful world of Disney from 11am til 11pm.
12 hours of non-stop magic.

Ok, so our day started off quite slowly, we all rose at different times and had our various breakfasts in the hotel room.

Mum and Dad had those little cereal cups you just add milk to, Kate and Jack didn't really have breakfast but ate once we got to Disneyland. I had a delicious strawberry, yoghurt and oats parfait.

Ooooh at the shop I found Vick's VapoDrops in original flavour! I haven't seen those in years. So we got some.

As soon as we got there, we went to California Adventure and went on Goofy's Sky School. That was pretty cool, made your stomach drop a bit!
Then we all went on Mickey's Ferris Wheel, it went rather slow, but we got a good view of the park:

The others then got some food in the form of hot dogs and churros and I got a cool frozen banana chocolate thing!

We all went on the Jumpin' Jellyfish ride next!

We had fast passes for the California Screamin' roller coaster so we only had to wait like, 10 minutes to go on it!

(there was a picture of the roller coaster above)

It was sooooo much fun!
You went super fast and dropped so far and fast omg it was awesome.
Aaaaaaaaah!

Next, we went through Grizzly Peak where we found cool hats:

(Dad channeling his inner Davy Crockett)

I bought some cute Minnie Mouse socks and put them on while Mum and I waited for the others to go on Soarin' Over California. They all enjoyed that a lot.

My socks:

Mum and I decided there was a lack of good looking people there so we spent the next half hour trying to spot one decent looking guy. None were seen.
Although one guy did have fabulously orange curly hair with a side flick thing.

We now felt satisfied with what we had achieved at California Adventure so we moved on to complete our last bits and bobs at Disneyland.

I was craving some candy (I call it candy now, 'cause I'm American) so we stopped into the candy store. Look at these cool candy apples:

We only left with some Caramel Corn though. Sooo scrummy in our tummies.

The Mark Twain boat sailed past us as we waited in line for the Pirates of the Caribbean ride:

I got heaps of pictures from the Pirates of the Caribbean ride but it was really dark so the picture quality wasn't top notch.
Here's a small selection:

We sailed through a sheet of mist made out of Davy Jones' face:

The ride was so cool. It even had drops and we got splashed, but we don't care 'cause we're hard.
We spotted Johnny Depp a few times.

Right in the middle of where you sail through, is a little restaurant. So you're dining and there are just these creepy boats sailing past you and creepy creek sounds all around.

We decided this would be perfect for dinner.

It was reeeeally good food.
To start off, they brought out a basket of warm bread and yummy little sweet potato biscuits. They were like, these soft, bready, herby triangles of deliciousness. My fave things so far.

Then you get either a salad or gumbo and then mains.
I got the portobello mushroom and couscous macaque choux. OMG yum.

Dad got the royal street seafood jambalaya:

And Mum got the surf & turf (with lobster tail):

Kate and Jack weren't very hungry so they just picked on bread and stuff.
But Jack did get a chocolate cake for dessert:

With very full tummies, we set off in the Disneyland twilight for our post-dinner round of fun.

Night time fountain:

We decided to tackle the haunted mansion first.
So scared:

Despite no one finding it scary, it was still really cool. There were ghosts dancing round, a stretching/sinking room and a graveyard.
I was next to Mum the whole time and she provided a lot of entertainment because she was screaming so loud the whole time. So I was mostly laughing at that. Hehehehe.

Dad, Kate, Jack and I went on Splash Mountain which had a fifty foot drop:

Then we rushed to find Kate and Jack some new, dry clothes as they got pretty soaked.
We had to make it back over to California Adventure for the World of Colour show.

But before we left Disneyland, we got a quick look at the the fireworks show, the pirate ship and the castle that lit up:

The photos of the World of Colour don't do the show any justice, but here they are anyway:

I got videos too but they won't upload for some reason :(

But honestly, it was so magical.
They played music from all sorts of Disney movies and scenes were projected onto the mist. I really felt like I was inside the Disney world.

I wish I could watch it every night.

We wandered back through the park and went to Downtown Disney.
I was walking on a cloud of happiness because the water/light show was so good.
I really feel the magicalness of Disneyland now (sorry Carrie-Ann for not being taken by the Disney magic sooner).

One last round of shopping and we were done.

Wheeew.

Then back to our hotel we went, and everyone pretty much fell straight asleep.
We were officially Disney-ed out.

Alright, moving onto our next non-Disney adventures!

Update you tomorrow!
